e-AWB is an initiative by IATA that eliminates the need for a paper AWB. The first step in making cargo paperless, e-AWBs improve data accuracy and reliability, speed up cargo acceptance and reduce the need for printing. The use of e-AWB for shipping air cargo is a mandatory requirement for all airlines.

With the increase in PLACI (pre-loading air cargo information) and ACI (advanced cargo information) requirements, Etihad Cargo is fully committed to ensuring compliance to all the pre-loading and pre-arrival filing requirement of regulatory authorities. Etihad Cargo checks the data compliance of all shipments to minimize shipment clearance delays and to avoid any potential penalties for our customers.
Etihad Cargo has partnered with Speedcargo to implement their leading-edge technology to our ground handling network to improve efficiency and to optimize cargo build up. Etihad Cargo will capture the dimensions for all cargo during acceptance using computer vision. With accurate dimensions we can utilize AI to optimize the loading of cargo into each ULD. Build up staff will be provided with step-by-step instructions on how to build each ULD, thereby improving efficiency and ensuring safety.
